Lesotho
According to the latest statement from the family of Lt. General Maaparankoe Mahao, before his murder Mahao thought there was a plot to kill him, but had refused to flee. His funeral service took place on the 11 July 2015.
Malawi
Preliminary results from the Malawi Vulnerability Assessment Commitee (MVAC) indicate that about 2.8 million people will be at risk of food insecurity this year. 25 districts out of 28 were affected by the food insecurity but the southern Region is the worst hit.
Madagascar
On 11 July, around 05h30 local time, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was felt in the regions of Vakinankaratra, Itasy and Menabe. No damage has been reported to date
